This area, landscaped and full of different kinds of trees, and delimited by Carrers de Balmes, Diputació, Enric Granados and Consell de Cent, which surround the Conciliar Seminary of Barcelona, was closed for many years.

In 2003, the wall that hid the old building from view was demolished and replaced by railings that allow people to see the new gardens from the outside and go in them.
