Block interiors - Recovered
< Back
  M. Matilde Almendros Gardens
Carrer Calàbria, 90-92

Reclaiming this space, where until now there was a business related to the automotive industry, has allowed the recovery of another green space for public use in L’Eixample.

From the entrance to the gardens to the end of the block interior, the pavement is made up of 3x3 metre concrete slabs, which create pathways and from time to time open up to give way to green areas and sandpits for young children to play in. Various seating areas are interspersed with urban furniture.

There is an interesting visual effect with the tree covering, which shows a marked contrast between the two species that have been planted. On the one hand there are tipuanas, which are characterized by their wide and shady foliage, and on the other black poplars, which have narrow foliage.

The perimeter walls are covered by climbing plants.
