  Beatrice of Provence Gardens
Nàpols, 244

These gardens have been built on the former site of the Myrurgia perfume and cologne factory, and the entrance to the block interior is through a gateway emblazoned with the company name. Barcelona City Council listed part of the factory, dating back to 1930 and the work of the architect Antonio Puig Gairalt, as part of the city’s architectural heritage.

Access to the gardens is through an open passageway paved with limestone slabs. There are also large round pots containing shrubs and rows of bamboo lining the walls. When we reach the block interior we see the following areas:

  • A children's play area on soft rubber flooring.
  • A rectangular area covered with gravel, featuring seating and a fountain. Flowering trees have been planted in this section, and bamboo lines the walls of the entrance passageway.
  • A rectangular area shaded by Rosewood containing benches.

The entrance to the Fassina nursery school is through these gardens.
